Google Earth A-Go-Go: Lac Lavon

For July we’ll do Google Earth. So for the Fourth in Minnesota we will of course go to the lake.

Not by the way, here is how to view stereopairs. You can also see the stereo by just going there in Google Maps and wiggling around.

So— the rest of us get by with floating docks, but the mayor gets a flying one? (And on Highview Drive? Right by Cobalt Blue Artistry? Wow, the suburbs are pretty on-the-nose.)

And it has a cabana? Minnesotans don't have cabanas. We have screened-in porches, creepy ice houses, homemade country-school-bus shelters with stairstepped windows— and of course The Cabin— but no cabanas.

Something funny up there in the suburbs.

I'm just kidding about the mayor; calm down, Americans. I also tried to have Pegman stand on the floating island. He can't. Only Google Earth Pro has "ground-level view" (not just Street View), but only Google Maps has the islands. A case of "some can eat but have none."
